About the Organization
The VHM is a cave-club exploring caves in the south part of Bavaria/Germany.
Actually it has about 200 members.
It is the administrator of the collection of all cave-data in the region of bavaria south of the river Danube.
It founded the cave-rescue in bavaria and runs it until the Bergwacht Bayern took over in the early 2000ds.
The VHM started to connect cave rescues in the surrounding nations and organised the first two meetings of the „Alpine Cave Rescue Association“ in 2007 and 2008, what in 2012 became the ECRA.
