About the Organization
WHAT WE ARE
The Spanish Rescue Cave committee belongs to Spanish Speleological federation, which is the official federation with all both Speleo and Cave diving competencies in Spain. Also,
The Spanish government model is based on 17 autonomous regions which have lot of competencies including all the local rescue groups.
Also, the regional speleology federations have the entire sport competency about speleo, canyoning and cave diving.
Almost every Regional speleology federation has also the cave rescue groups under its umbrella which are in charge about its influence area, sharing this responsibility with the professional mountains rescue groups (Guardia Civil, Firefighters Mountain groups and so on).

Around 11k federated athletes.
Around 200 cave rescue specialists (+50 to go and work below the -500 level).
Around 100 national clubs exploring.
More than 20 foreign clubs exploring.
More than 10 different nationalities.

4 caves +100k in length (1 +170k)

31 siphons +100m in length (the longest siphon with 5,1k length being explored).
WHAT WE DO
The Spanish Cave Rescue Committee along with the Cave Rescue Interterritorial commission, works to be well coordinated:
- Check, test and incorporates the standards about techniques, logistics and procedures.
- Notice to all the speleological targets as protocols, advises, etc.
- Proposes organization methods, information management.
- Meet yearly to review the status and create the next year follow-up plan.
- Organize an annual exercise with all the Cave Rescue Groups with competencies.
- Keep the national and international relationship with the official organizations.
WHAT WE CAN CONTRIBUTE
- Several autonomous Cave Rescue teams to collaborate if needed.
- To share the knowledge about the cave rescues experience we had into the national ground as well as the international cases.
- To increase the ECRA resources adding us to the organization (humans and materials).
- Everything that is in our hands to Support ECRA and its members.
- To be the link with all the Spanish language community (21 Spanish mother tongue countries, more than 550 million people).
