About the Organization
The HRVD is a working-group within the VdHK (Verband deutscher Höhlen- und Karstforscher/association of german cave- and karst-explorers).
In this working group, representatives of all cave-rescue-organisations of Germany are present.
The responsibility for cave-rescue is different in each country of Germany. It could be the mountain-rescue (e.g. Bayern), an association responsible for cave-rescue (e.g. Baden-Württemberg) or a fire-fighter station (Hessen). But they all have an official mandate from the country.
The HRVD is the network for all cave-rescue-groups in Germany.
